Centralización económica en Chile

Abstract

Según datos del Banco Central de Chile en el año 2011 la región metropolitana representaba cerca de un 47% del PIB chileno con un número de habitantes que representan el 40% del país. Lo anterior a priori arroja dos conclusiones: 1. Hay una transferencia de valor de las otras regiones hacia la región metropolitana. 2. La diferencia en fuerza de trabajo y capital disponible entre la región metropolitana y el resto de las regiones, provoca una centralización de capital y valor generado en la región metropolitana versus las otras regiones.
