Abstract

Le continue crisi della bilancia dei pagamenti e i risultati negativi che hanno caratterizzato l’economia argentina nel corso degli ultimi quindici anni sono legati a interventi politici inadeguati nei mercati monetari, del lavoro e dei cambi esteri. Si dimostra che i frequenti cambiamenti politici e politiche monetarie, dei cambi e dei prezzi tra loro incompatibili sono le principali cause dell’attuale situazione debitoria. Il governo Alfonsin ha fatto poco per attuare politiche economiche più razionali, anzi ha intrapreso una politica destabilizzatrice che ha spinto l’Argentina all’iperinflazione. Si suggeriscono linee di condotta politica necessarie e realizzabili per il recupero dell’economia e della credibilità dall’Argentina sul piano internazionale.
