Abstract

La rivoluzione dell’informazione - Australia e paesi vicini Lo studio analizza l’evoluzione del settore informatico in Australia e paesi vicini misurandone la portata e la struttura. Viene presentata una metodologia atta a individuare il settore informatico nell’ambito delle statistiche relative al reddito nazionale e quelle input-output. Viene dimostrata l’importanza dei settori dell’industria e dei servizi per le economie considerate. Mediante un modello a equazioni simultanee viene esplorato il legame tra informatizzazione a variabili di sviluppo macro-economico. I risultati confermano ulteriormente l’importanza dci settori non informatici nell’ambito delle economie analizzate. Lo studio conclude che, per utilizzare i benefici della rivoluzione informatica, la programmazione statica ed i criteri di moltiplicatore sono controproducenti dal momento che tendono dall’uso di connessione a consolidare lo status quo. E’ sottolineata la necessità di creare connessioni dinamiche, spreads e vantaggio comparativo per promuovere il settore dell’informazione. Si auspica che la cooperazione orizzontale tra Australia e paesi vicini possa giovare a promuovere l’obiettivo di rapida informatizzazione di queste economie.
