Abstract

This paper proposes an improvement of education production function standard models by including the modes of use of time as explicative variables of academic success. A sample of about 2 000 French University students is used. One of the main conclusions is that the average student devotes little time to academic home work and investment-activities, that is to say activities that are related to education in the full sense of the word.
