Problemas ambientales y participación social. Un análisis a través de las representaciones sociales en Mar del Plata (Argentina)

Abstract

La economía ecológica plantea la necesidad de construir una política ambiental consensuada con todos los agentes sociales. Pretende acercarse al manejo de la inconmensurabilidad de los factores que intervienen en los procesos productivos, y abordar la incertidumbre en las consecuencias generadas por esos procesos, con plena participación. Esto evidencia la necesidad de debatir sobre qué política ambiental queremos. Para evaluar la factibilidad de este planteo indagamos en las representaciones sociales que ha generado una problemática ambiental determinada, producto del deficiente funcionamiento del sistema elegido para evacuar efluentes cloacales en un barrio de la ciudad de Mar del Plata (Argentina). Los resultados evidencian necesidades de transparencia y formación para llegar a una política ambiental consensuada y legitimada por toda la sociedad.
