La muestra continua de vidas laborales (MCVL): una guía de uso para el análisis de transiciones

Abstract

Este artículo presenta las principales características de la Muestra Continua de Vidas Laborales (MCVL), una base de datos con información administrativa de más de un millón de trabajadores y pensionistas en España para los cuales se cuenta con información de toda su vida activa. Se estudian las ventajas e inconvenientes de esta base de datos particularizando, sobre todo, en las facilidades que ofrece de cara a analizar trayectorias laborales. Para ello, se describe el tratamiento necesario de la información para la identificación correcta de las transiciones entre estados laborales. Por último, también se documentan las principales características de los individuos incluidos en la última ola disponible, la del año 2007.
