Divulgación: La Economía Social y Solidaria en Argentina. Su Importancia y la Necesidad de Inclusión de su Temática en la Educación Superior

Abstract

La noción de Economía Social y Solidaria resurgió en Latinoamérica en los últimos 30 años (Abramovich y Vázquez, 2006, p. 1). En nuestro país ha ganado impulso luego de la crisis económica y social que comenzó en 1998 y tuvo su corolario a fines de 2001 dejando indicadores de desempleo, pobreza, indigencia y distribución inequitativa de la riqueza, en valores alarmantes. Hoy la Economía Social y Solidaria es en Argentina una propuesta concreta de cambio: microemprendimientos, empresas autogestionadas y nuevas cooperativas son una muestra de un crecimiento que puede concretarse permitiendo el desarrollo de todos los sectores sociales. Y es precisamente, en el apuntalamiento de esa transformación en la que la Universidad tiene un papel fundamental: es necesario, entonces, permitir que los contenidos vinculados a la Economía Social y Solidaria se incluyan en asignaturas de la Educación Superior para formar profesionales que puedan aportar en el cambio del medio en el que están insertos.
