Divulgación: La Competitividad como Requerimiento para la Exportación de Servicios de Turismo

Abstract

La competitividad adquiere actualmente relevancia en el ámbito turístico, observándose a nivel nacional acciones tendientes a promover productos turísticos competitivos. Este trabajo analiza condiciones operativas y administrativas de agencias PyMEs de turismo de la ciudad de Santa Fe para determinar características competitivas. Se utiliza el modelo de Cadena de Valor de M. Porter, mediante el uso de encuestas y entrevistas. Los resultados revelan los “encajes” que potencian la competitividad: estrategias de crecimiento, cultura abierta, tecnologías de información racionalizadas y de equipamiento actualizados, fuerte profesionalización y obtención de mejoras significativas a partir de esfuerzos realizados. Como conclusión, el 31,25% de empresas poseen estas características.
