450 años de la Ceca de Lima

Abstract

Como parte de las celebraciones por este aniversario, Pedro de la Puente, presidente de la Sociedad Numismática del Perú, presenta un artículo sobre la Casa de Moneda de Lima y las otras cecas que funcionaron en el Perú durante el Virreinato. También Edgar Valda Martínez, docente de Historia de la Universidad Mayor, Real y Pontificia de San Francisco Xavier de Chuquisaca de Bolivia, escribe sobre la historia de la Casa de Moneda de Potosí, la relación que tuvo con España y con nuestro país en los siglos XVI – XIX. Finalmente, Carlos Contreras, historiador de la PUCP, resume un capítulo más extenso sobre el tema de la moneda en el Perú del siglo XX que aparece en el libro sobre historia monetaria que el BCRP y el IEP han editado de su colección sobre historia económica.
