Abstract

The Document Image Analysis System, shortly DIAS, is a modular software framework for image processing and information extraction. The system is comprised of various elementary executables, that form the processing backbone, as well as several GUI applications aimed at simplifying the configuration process and fixing errors that may appear during the actual image processing. The system is modular, and can easily be extended with more executables that fit into one of the predefined categories.
