Business Ethics in Germany – Problems, Concepts, and Functions

Abstract

Der Beitrag untersucht die Frage, warum Unternehmensethik bisher kein Standardthema in Forschung und Lehre der deutschsprachigen Betriebswirtschaftslehre ist. Dabei fuehrt er die Anfaenge dieser Entwicklung auf die Erfahrungen waehrend der Diktatur bis zum Ende des Zweiten Weltkrieges zurueck. Anschliessend wurde die Disziplin bis in die 1980er Jahre von Max Webers Konzept einer wertfreien Wissenschaft bestimmt. Seit Mitte der 1980er Jahre wurden eine Reihe unternehmensethischer Positionen und Konzepte entwickelt, die jedoch nicht zu einer breiten Akzeptanz des Faches fuehrten. Daher wird alternativ das Konzept einer Analytischen Unternehmensethik entwickelt, das nach logischen, empirischen sowie normativen Dimensionen unternehmensethischer Fragestellungen unterscheidet.
