Abstract

Zertifizierungsfaehige Mindeststandards verbreiten sich mit zunehmender Geschwindigkeit in verschiedensten Branchen. Jedoch mehren sich die Zweifel an den positiven Effekten dieser Standards. Ein Grund ist, dass trotz Zertifikat Verstoesse gegen die Mindestnormen der Standards festgestellt werden. An dieser Stelle setzt der Beitrag an und beschaeftigt sich mit der Frage, ob Entkopplungstendenzen bei der Standardimplementierung beobachtet werden koennen und wie diese aussehen. Dieser Fragestellung wird anhand von vier Fallstudien nachgegangen. (Social and environmental standards are one important element to ensure sustainability. Although their number is still increasing, doubts concerning the positive effects ascend. These doubts are based on several cases, in which infringements of the standards principles were observed in certified companies. The objective of the article is to identify why companies do not implement standards properly. To answer these questions four cases are examined empirically.)
