Relations entre alimentation et santé dans la famille et leur construction dans des espaces intergénérationnels. Quels enjeux pour les mères de famille ?

Abstract

Cet article propose une analyse des conditions sociales et générationnelles dans lesquelles les mères de famille peuvent construire une relation maîtrisée entre l’alimentation et la santé de leur famille. L’analyse est construite à l’articulation de deux grands types de facteurs explicatifs. D’une part, la pluralité normative dont les comportements alimentaires peuvent faire aujourd’hui l’objet. D’autre part, les processus de transmission familiale de pratiques, de savoirs et de savoir-faire alimentaires dans des espaces intergénérationnels qui confrontent les héritages familiaux aux réalités quotidiennement vécues par les femmes dans leur famille. Trois groupes de femmes peuvent être isolés. Chacun produit une forme spécifique d’intégration de la pluralité normative et des héritages familiaux et développe ainsi des capacités plus ou moins fortes et plus ou moins stables de maîtrise symbolique et pratique de l’alimentation et de sa relation à la santé.
