Migración internacional, remesas y distribución del ingreso a nivel de comunidad

Abstract

Este artículo explora la forma en que la migración internacional y sus remesas afectan la distribución del ingreso y la riqueza en la comunidad oaxaqueña de San Miguel. Se utiliza la técnica de descomposición del coeficiente de Gini por fuentes de ingreso. Se determina que, a) las remesas no afectan la distribución del ingreso, ni la distribución de la riqueza, y que b) la migración internacional no afecta la distribución del ingreso pero sí a la distribución de la riqueza en la comunidad.
