Abstract

La presente investigación se encuadra en un trabajo más amplio dirigido al estudio de la evolución pasada y futura de un conjunto de indicadores de la economía mexicana, mediante la utilización de técnicas de análisis y previsión de corto-largo plazo. Se trata de realizar un seguimiento de la actividad económica con base en indicadores coyunturales y no coyunturales que alerten de las posibles dificultades de la escena económica en cada momento y de su evolución futura. El documento está orientado hacia el uso del Análisis Factorial y Componentes Principales a variables macroeconómicas mexicanas para encontrar indicadores resumidos de la actividad económica.
