Abstract

El trabajo tiene como base una propuesta metodológica de carácter interdisciplinario. Destaca la construcción de un índice en el que se incluyen instrumentos y herramientas conceptuales de diversas disciplinas de las ciencias sociales, fundamentalmente de la demografía, la economía, la geografía, la sociología y la ciencia política. Asimismo, se aborda desde una perspectiva cuantitativa, algunos de los principales fenómenos económicos, sociales y políticos de la realidad michoacana, tratando de integrar de manera homogénea la medición de conceptos diversos pero interrelacionados.
