Infraestructura De Transporte Para La Integración Regional

Abstract

La situación actual de la infraestructura de transporte en México requiere aumentar su eficiencia y capacidad para brindar el apoyo que demanda la comunicación de largas distancias destinada al comercio de exportación e importación y fundamentalmente para lograr la cobertura y accesibilidad regional y microregional que requiere el desarrollo del país. El autor observa como la disparidad del desarrollo regional es acentuada por el auge de las grandes corrientes comerciales que conectan al país con el extranjero, especialmente con Norteamérica, y la desarticulación y polarización progresiva de las corrientes de menor volumen e intensidad, internas, destinas al abasto local y microregional que paradójicamente tienden a dar nueva forma a los hasta ahora inconexos e incipientes mercados regionales.
