Los Mecanismos de Transmisión de los Efectos de la Política Monetaria: Una Crítica al Debate Contemporáneo

Abstract

Este trabajo apunta y da cuenta de un debate teórico entre la corriente de la síntesis neoclásica y la monetarista a propósito de la política monetaria. El debate, señala el autor, se ha sustentado en el enfoque keynesiano y en la re-elaboración de la teoría cuantitativa, pero precisa que esa discusión es más de forma que de contenido y que no hay divorcio en el manejo de la política monetaria entre una y otra corriente, sino algunas diferencias en torno a los efectos de la tasa de interés y sus efectos mediatos e inmediatos que generan en el sistema económico.
