Abstract

El ensayo que aquí se entrega tiene como fin analizar el impacto de la política económica comercial exterior y su incidencia en el crecimiento de la economía mexicana para el periodo 1996-2000. A través de la revisión de las teorías tradicionales del comercio exterior y del crecimiento económico (clásica y neoclásica) y algunos planteamientos modernos, se da sustento teórico a esta investigación. Y la metodología empleada para abordar el planteamiento principal de aquella se basa en la construcción de dos modelos econométricos, que permite cuantificar y calificar el desempeño de la política económica comercial exterior de la economía mexicana durante el periodo señalado.
