La Sucesión Presidencial en México: Año 2000, El Fin de Ciclo del Sistema Político

Abstract

El presente ensayo alude a la metamorfosis histórica del sistema político de México, registrada el 2 de julio del año 2000. La tesis que sustenta el escrito consiste en argumentar el final de un orden político en el que un solo partido, ejerció el monopolio del poder desde 1929 y el principio de la alternancia real y completa de partidos en el poder, regla de oro en el concierto de las naciones democráticas. En este plano, el proceso electoral federal del año 2000 es analizado y revisado, advirtiéndose que en él se registró la llegada de un nuevo ciclo político en México signado por la alternancia, la democracia y la pluralidad; y que es tarea de los mexicanos continuar trabajando en aras de la prosperidad de este país.
