Abstract

[fre] A l'aide de données nouvelles, cette chronique fait le point sur l'évolution de différentes tendances de la matrice Louis Dirn qui ont déjà fait l'objet d'articles ou de précédentes chroniques. • Entre le moment où l'on quitte définitivement son emploi et celui où commence la retraite, une nouvelle période s'ouvre dans le cycle de vie, dont les traits sont encore incertains. • L 'institution du RMI implique une approche nouvelle de la pauvreté puisqu'elle crée un principe nouveau, le droit de chacun à un revenu, et une population nouvelle gérée par les services sociaux. • Différents mouvements divergents commandent la redistribution de la population sur le territoire. Le sud continue à se peupler aux dépends du nord, mais, en même temps, les contours côtiers de l'Atlantique et de la Manche voient leur population augmenter. L'urbanisation continue à s'étaler de plus en plus loin des villes- centres et notamment le long des vallées. Le rural lié aux villes poursuit sa croissance.
