Abstract

[eng] France allocates a smaller proportion of its resources to the purchase of foreign financial assets than do other European countries, not with standing the increase in net acquisitions over the past 10 years. The bulk of transactions, and this is a considerable amount, is devoted to portfolio arbitrages. This article describes the operations for bonds and stocks, dealing for the most part with the most important ones : American, German an Japanese, but considering also the less importants ones such as British, Canadian and Dutch assets.
