[fre] Commerce électronique et localisation urbaine des activités commerciales L'article analyse l'impact du commerce électronique sur l'organisation urbaine des activités commerciales. Le commerce électronique est encore peu développé mais des transformations importantes sont attendues. L'objectif est d'élaborer des scénarios d'évolution à partir d'un petit nombre de variables. Généralement réduit à la vente en ligne, le commerce électronique est ici défini plus largement comme processus de numérisation partielle des fonctions commerciales. Toute activité commerciale peut être analysée comme un ensemble hybride d'infrastructures phy­siques et de fonctions virtuelles. On fait l'hypothèse que cette hybridation aura un impact sur la localisation des commerces dans les villes, notamment sur le schéma centre-périphérie qui caractérise la répartition des activités commerciales dans les villes européennes depuis trente ans. L'article identifie quatre variables clés dont les évolutions détermineront les schémas spatiaux des activités commerciales : le poids relatif de la vente en ligne, les extemalités de consommation, les externalités sociales, les coûts de transport des produits et de déplacement des personnes. Trois scénarios prospectifs sont proposés. [eng] Electronic commerce and urban localization of commercial activities The aim of the article is to study the impact of electronic commerce on the urban organization of commercial activities. Despite of the weak level of the present development of e-commerce, significant transformations are expected. Generally con­fined to on line sales, electronic commerce is here defined more widely as the process of partial digitalization of commercial functions. Any business activity can be analyzed as a hybrid set of physical infrastructures and virtual functions. This hybridization will have an impact on the localization of business activities in the cities, in particular on the center-periphery equilibrium which has characterized the spatial distribution of commercial activities within European cities for last 30 years. Four key variables are supposed to determine the evolution of the urban structure of commercial activities: the relative importance of on line sales in retail commerce, externalities of consumption, social externalities of commerce, transport costs of products and people. Finally, three prospective scenarios are proposed.
