Abstract

[eng] Thematical and mathematical presentations of « wealth of nations ». . The author has four objectives :. ― to put right the unfair omission of Adam Smith's thought by French economic literature at the time of the Second Century Anniversary of Wealth of Nations ;. ― to offer, owing to the light and the conciseness of the mathematical language, a pedagogical presentation of Adam Smith's great thems ;. ― to point out, owing to the different readings of many known authors, the severe ambiguities of Wealth of Nations ;. ― to affirm the heuristic value of Smith's contradictions. . In conclusion, the author points out the essential influence of Adam Smith on two century of economic literature.
