Abstract

[eng] An utilization of French national statistics of occupational accidents. . The purpose of this paper is an utilization of the French National Statistics of Occupational Accidents, published by the French National Sick Insurance Fund. Industries-wide are clearly different by their occupational riske level for a giver. year and by ifs évolution during the passed twenty years. More than the generity of the accidents, their frequency explains those differences.. Most of occupational accidents arise from simple gestures, handlings and motions. Medium-size firms (10 to 99 wage-earners) bring up the worst outcomes. Because of a difference in their behaviour and occupational risks, women are less injuried than men are. Non~manual workers offer a high accident generity but a low accident frequency. Skilled workers by occupational risks; unskilled workers and labourers are subject to a relative safety.
