Abstract

[eng] Detection of the structurising effects of motorways application to the Rhône valley. . Since the role of the transport facilities in the economical development of a region is far from completely known, the research team of the Institut des Etudes Economiques in Lyon has chosen to proceed by retrospective studies on the structurising effects of motorways. The method employed, based on comparative cluster analysis is presented and illustrated when studying the role of the A7 motorway, since its opening, in the development of the Rhone Valley.
