Abstract

[eng] This study is done to define the application of factor analysis based on principle components, to econometrics and more precisely to the building of linear equation Systems. Because of the limits of on entirely inductive research of equations, which exist in the economical and statistical reality, we start, in a first stage, from the System of equations, which is assumed in the traditional phase of conceptualisation. A method of estimation is then offered. Without any causal and probabilistic assumption, it is based on statistical properties of latent variables, shown by factor analysis. Finally, we are trying to defiine to what extent the economical interpretation of latent variables allows to complete or to re-assess the model. Those methodological prospects are completed by the experimentations that ware have done on the Klein model 1 : the results of the offered estimation method are opposed to those, brought by the traditional methods, and an interpretation is given for each of the non negligible latent variable of the sample.
