Abstract

[eng] Farm structure policy and administrative management of production rights in France play a significant part in the distribution of the means of production in agriculture. This common patrimonial management, implemented by farmers and their representatives, limits the usual field of activity of market economy, in order to promote principles of equality between farmers of the same generation and solidarity betweens generations. This play between patrimonial economy and market economy, here higlighted in the case of France, is at work by other ways in Germany and United Kingdom.
