Abstract

[eng] The contribution of the applied general equilibrium approach for agricultural policy analysis. . The main purpose of this article is to highlight the relevance of the computable general equilibrium (CGE) approach for the analysis of agricultural issues. Principles of the CGE modelling are first reminded. CGE models differ from multi-market partial equilibrium models about two main respects : their exhaustive treatment of the economy considered and the robustness of their micro-economic foundations. The significance of these two caracteristics is next underlined with a CGE model focused on the United States Agriculture.
