Abstract

[fre] La globalisation est une des tendances fondamentales de la dynamique économique ; cependant, dans certains cas, cette tendance est ralentie par diverses particularités sectorielles. C'est ainsi que la nécessité d'adapter les variétés aux conditions pédo-climatiques locales freine la capacité des firmes semencières à développer leur action au plan international. Les biotechnologies végétales sont-elles à même de favoriser la levée de ces barrières technologiques à la mondialisation de l'activité semencière ? [eng] Technical change and localization of seed industry . Globalization is a fudamental tendency of economic dynamics ; However, in some cases, sectorial specificities hinder that trend. For exemple, the internationalization of seed companies is hampered by the need to adapt crops to different environmental conditions. Are biotechnologies able to make seed industry world-wide development easier ?
