Abstract

[eng] The evolution of needs for training in agro-food and agricultural sciences in the central european countries . . The restructuring of agriculture in Central Europe has left in its wake new needs for professional people, both in beginner training and continuing education. Such engineers and technicians must be able to help in the formation of new farmers, guide them, organise producers, and contribute to the processing and distribution of products. For the face of this need, the existing university system possesses a great potential in both physical capacity and academic staff. The main problems are the reconversion necessary to obtain adapted cursus for the new objectives ; openings on the professional market ; low financial means and the absence of a society project concerning the future of the higher education system. [fre] La restructuration de l'agriculture dans les pays d'Europe Centrale entraîne l'apparition de nouveaux besoins en formation de cadres, aussi bien formation initiale que continue. Ces ingénieurs et techniciens devront pouvoir accompagner la constitution d'unités nouvelles, les encadrer, organiser les producteurs et contribuer à la transformation/distribution des produits. Dans ce contexte, l'appareil universitaire existant dispose d'un potentiel important, en capacité d'accueil et en formateurs. Les principaux problèmes sont la reconversion vers des formations adaptées aux nouveaux objectifs, l'ouverture sur le monde professionnel, la faiblesse des moyens financiers et l'absence d'un projet de société concernant l'avenir du système universitaire.
