Abstract

[eng] The circulation of plant-breeding resources. What is to be done to regulate the circulation of plant-breeding in the world ? A first model had been based on the free access to all genetic resources, either wild or ancient or contained in an improved variety. A second model is being set up, in which every genetic resource will be appropriated either on the ground of patents right or on the base of national sovereignty. Un premier modèle avait été fondé sur le libre accès gratuit à toutes les ressources génétiques, qu'elles soient sauvages, anciennes ou contenues dans une variété améliorée. Un deuxième modèle est en train de se mettre en place, où toute ressource génétique sera appropriée, soit sur le fondement du droit des brevets, soit sur le fondement de la souveraineté nationale.
