Abstract

[eng] Observation of the present relationship between farmers and non-agricultural population invites one to think that a possible rupture is still unlikely. The inclusive notion of rurality preserves its meaning and the cultural convergence between countryside inhabitants demonstrates it well. The present situation is particularly complex. This is shown by analysis of economic, social and political relations between the farmers of various categories and the not less diverse categories of non-farmer active or inactive population. The alliance of agricultural and rural population matters, concerning the rural areas protection and development. But it isn't obvious : it has to be built up.
