Abstract

[eng] Bangladesh is a small overpopulated country facing a critical nutrition situation. In spite of a large food aid programme, this situation has slowly degradated on a quantitative as well as a qualitative basis over the last twenty year specially among the poorest and the landless. This paper is a brief attempt at describing the reasons behind the present food and nutrition situation.
