Abstract

[eng] The relation ship between media and the farming world from 1945 to 1980 have developed in a context of often sharp changes. The media have both generated and expressed the farming world opening out on the outside world. A change took place : from lesser penetration or outdated equipment to a larger consumption of the daily press and TV. The present study first considers the written press differentiating between general information and agriculture, then radio broascasting (less than half of the farming world households had radio in 1945 as against 95 % of them in 1981) and finally TV broadcasting (the penetration of which came later but became widespread).
