Abstract

[eng] Consequence of dairy quota on farm value -The complexity of the mechanism fixing the dairy quota allocated of each producer, the important disparities between these producers and the lack of a clear legal principle make difficult the appreciation of the quota. . Some people assert this quotas is linked to land, thus enhancing farm value. For some others it is only the result of the ability, or efficiency of the producer who may use it without restraint. But is it possible to give value to a given quota ? . We may say undeniably that a good reference gives a feeling of safety to the farmer. And the bankers take it into account. But, except for the case of a governement takeover, the reference remains difficult to negociate among producers. An actual quota market does not exist.
