Abstract

[eng] Investment, liabilities and financial situation of farms, during the period 1979-1985 - The analysis of the professional farms results, collected by the Farm accountancy data network, points out appreciable trends in the evolution of investment and liabilities during the period 1979-1985. Net investment has been reaching negative values since 1983, new investments do not equilibrate the depreciation of old ones. Moreover, liabilities raise all along the period and the average balance-sheet structure appears less favourable. Beyond those average values, the number of farmers for which main balance-sheet ratios show an unhealthy financial situation, has increased.
