Abstract

[eng] The worker old age endowment legislation was enacted in the early thirties, however farmers had to wait until 1952 before being granted an old age benefit too. . Over the past few years, the old age endowment system has been amended many times; the latest amendment bill to have been introduced to the parliament passed on January 1986. In light of the new clause, farmers will have to meet the same requirements as those already laid down for others social working classes. Statutory pensionnable age which was 65 until 1985 will be annually reduced year by year: to date, it is 64 in 1986 and it will be carried to 63 in 1987 and 60 in 1990. . Moreover, a nonstop 37,5 years activity (instead of the 25 years period initially fixed) will be required for the payment in full of an old age pension.
