Abstract

[eng] Champagne is the wine-growing region which, due to the nature of its product is the best organised. However, the organisation, established between 1935 and 1957, has started to grow old. . Since its founding, Champagne has been one of the most rapidly growing of the french wine-growing districts. This growth created a change, between the wine-grower and wine merchant and has had a double effect : . — Firstly, during the part 20 years there has been a slow transfert of «added value» from the merchants to the growers. . — Secondly, and as a consequence, there has been a prowing unrest between the two partners that has created a déstabilisation of the Champagne markets and a disruption of interprofessional relations.
