Abstract

[fre] Contrairement à certaines apparences, les effets du travail agricole sur la morbidité et la mortalité sont actuellement mal connus. Les recherches épidémiologiques sont très en retard en France et les études ergonomiques ont été rares en agriculture. Une politique de protection a été cependant mise en œuvre ; on montre que l'information à laquelle elle donne lieu ne permet pas de déterminer avec rigueur la fréquence, la gravité et les mécanismes des accidents et maladies liés aux conditions d'exercice de l'activité agricole. [eng] Contrary a first impression, the effects of agricultural work on morbidity and mortality rates are not well known at present. Epidemiological researchs in France are lagging and ergonomie studies have been scarce in the agricultural sector. A protection policy has however been enforced ; this study shows that the information gathered through the policy implementation does not provide means of exactly assessing the frequency, the severity, the circumstances of work accidents and diseases linked to the existing conditions of agricultural activity.
