Abstract

[fre] Les régions agricoles officielles ne rendent plus compte objectivement de la diversité spatiale en France et ne répondent plus à leur double vocation — statistique et opérationnelle — initiale. Grâce aux classifications modernes des exploitations en fonction de leur orientation technico-économique, et par projection spatiale des résultats obtenus, il est maintenant possible d'obtenir un nouveau découpage beaucoup plus crédible, et qui rendrait concurremment service aux utilisateurs traditionnels de la statistique agricole et aux aménageurs. [eng] Official agricultural regions of France do not give an objective account of the variety of land utilization and do not fulfil their initial double role which was statistical and operational. Modern classifications of farms according to their technical and economic orientations could serve as a basis for better spatial projections a/id more credible new deliberations which would serve traditional users of agricultural statistics but also country planers.
