Les reboisements des Alpes du sud : quel avenir?

Abstract

[eng] In the past century, reafforestation concerned about 100 000 hectares in the Southern Alps. Its long term future is in doubt because stands do not regenerate naturally. Specific operations including replanting are now urgently needed to rejuvenate the stands. Who will pay ? [fre] Les reboisements des Alpes du Sud couvrent une surface d'environ 100 000 ha menacés bien souvent de disparition à long terme, faute de régénération spontanée. Veut-on préserver ce patrimoine de grande valeur en assurant les travaux nécessaires à son entretien ? et trouver les crédits nécessaires à son aménagement voire à des replantations dans certains cas.
