Les techniques actuelles de production bovine provoquent-elles l'éclatement du système de polyculture-élevage ?

Abstract

[fre] Les auteurs se proposent de réexaminer le contenu d'une notion courante en économie rurale : le système de polyculture-élevage. Il montre que derrière cette organisation technique de la production se trouvent des rapports sociaux de production correspondant à un mode de production spécifique : la petite production marchande. Dans ces conditions les processus de spécialisation et d'intensification observés en agriculture ne peuvent s'interpréter comme de simples transformations techniques liées au progrès technique mais comme le résultat de la dynamique d'un système où coexistent deux modes de production : la petite production marchande et la production capitaliste, le premier étant subordonné au second. Elle tente de montrer comment une telle analyse peut servir à la compréhension de ce qu'on appelle actuellement le «problème bovin».
