Abstract

[eng] Economic and Financial Information and the Crisis.. Media and economists have been widely criticized for not having stigmatized enough some financial practices and alerted about the rising risks during the gestation period of the crisis initiated after the burst of the Internet bubble in 2000. More emphasis should be given to the observations and opinions that disturb or do not conform to the existing consensus Information has also played a major part in the brutality of the transmission of financial crisis to the real economy. In a world where information travels faster and reach broader audience, perhaps to the detriment of thorough thinking and critical approach, it plays a major role in the speed of onset of crises and their rapid spread. Public and private decision makers will have to take this into account in the future. . Classification JEL : E66, G14, G17. . . . Classification JEL : E66, G14, G17.
