La crise financière actuelle. Pourquoi le système a-t-il déraillé ? Réflexions sur la titrisation

Abstract

[fre] Depuis août 2007, le système financier mondial s’est disloqué et nombre de ses différents compartiments sont, tour à tour, affectés par la crise. Pourquoi les choses ont-elles déraillé de la sorte ? La question dépasse l’intérêt historique d’une description des causes de la crise. Avant de proposer des solutions, il est nécessaire, en effet, de bien comprendre la nature des problèmes et de distinguer les aspects spécifiques qui l’expliquent. C’est ce que je m’efforcerai de faire brièvement en m’attachant à trois notions-clés : . - l’abondance globale de liquidités et la perte du « sens du risque » ; . - l’abus de la titrisation et ses conséquences ; . - l’environnement réglementaire et comptable. Je conclurai par quelques considérations sommaires sur les orientations qui s’imposent.
