Abstract

. Classification JEL : G22, M14, Q01 [eng] The Socially Responsible Investment : point of view of a cooperative insurance company . The FFSA and FBF ordered in 2003 a study on the CSR practices of banks and insurance companies. This study revealed a small delay of these actors. Two years later, insurance companies seem to make up for this delay. Three factors indeed participated in the cultural change of the financial sector : . - the creation of the ORSE’s financial club ; . - mutual insurance societies have today to adapt their corporate governance to the requirements of NRE and LSF French Laws ; . - the financial scandals of 2000s required the financial firms to reinforce their internal control and risks management procedures to favour the financial accountability. This article introduces the SRI and CSR practices of La Mondiale insurance. . JEL classification : G22, M14, Q01
