Abstract

[eng] The new determinants for financing French Small and Medium-sized Enterprises. In the context of financial globalisation, the competitiveness of French Small and medium-sized enterprises depends, to a significant but not exclusive extent, on the new deterrninants of national and international finance. At the national level, these determinants depend on the capacity of the monetary authorities to set up favourable conditions for « competitive finance ». At the international level, these determinants depend on banks' ability to adapt to the new conditions of international financial markets. They depend also in the economic environment, dominated as it is by globalisation, on SMEs' own ability to adapt and anticipate.
