Abstract

[eng] The aim of this paper is to present a framework to analyze the rules which govern coordination in an organization. This framework demonstrates the originality and the limits of Hayek's approach to organizational coordination. In the first part, a typology of organizational rules is set out, which allows us to go beyond the opposition between organized and spontaneous order. This typology shows the diversity of the coordination process and the importance of the employees' cooperation. In a second part, we use this typology to show that Hayek, despite the interest of his analysis, sees labor as a simple market-based resource for the company.
