Abstract

Hungary has been focused on as it is considered to be the most attractive among transition countries. Specifie attention has been given to the relationships it has with Germany, being the main investor, and Hungary's most significant commercial partner. The first part analyses the motivations and investment strategies of German firms which are directing the transformation of market structures. The second part examines the impact of the setting up of foreign firms and the extension of the German zone of influence in reinforcing the internationalisation process.
