Abstract

[eng] The aim of this paper is to propose a theoretical model for analysing the structuration of the Value Added Network Services (VANS) industry, a key element in the debate about the future of telecommunications. First, we will try to buoy the concept of VANS dynamically, while taking into account economic, regulatory and technological factors. Then we apply the model to the French VANS market, and describe carefully how offer and demand strategically deploy. Finally we attempt to assess to what extent this model could be applied to other products — more specifically those with system or network effects. In order to analyse the features of inter-firms agreements.
